A yeshiva is the cornerstone and catalyst of growth of Jewish life in communities around the globe. South Africa is no exception.

The growth generated through the Torah learning within the four walls of a Yeshiva flows out into the wider community, setting a benchmark of Yiddishkeit to be strived for.

Yeshiva South Africa does just that.

With our authentic Torah learning, shiurim inspired by some of the best Yeshivas world wide, and personal guidance and attention, YSA is the hub of Torah learning for our community.

Headed by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Michoel Olitzki Shlita, who took over from Rabbi Shimon Wolpe Shlita, this goal continues to be realised in a dynamic atmosphere. The Yeshiva, home to both bochrim and young avreichim, allows each and every one of our talmidim to be enriched, not only from the absolute dedication, love, and care from our 4 world-class Rebbeim- Rabbi Olitzki, Rabbi Yonason Hope, Rabbi Zack Meltzer and Rabbi Shlomo Weber- but from each other too.

This growth is tangible, with a powerful kol Torah in our Beis Hamedrash, and is experienced with our Shabbosim, Yomim Tovim, Shabbatons, kumzitzes, Yeshiva trips, events at the Rebbeim's homes... all part of the full YSA experience!

With alumni as Rebbeim in almost every Jewish school in Johannesburg, successful bnei Torah baalabatim, Avreichim, Rabbi's of communities and leaders of local institutions, YSA is producing a bright future.
