ABOUT INTERNATIONAL MANDELA DAY
Mandela Day is an annual global celebration that takes place on 18 July to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. This day is a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela's values and principles and to make a positive impact in their own communities.
Why get involved?
There is much still to be done. Inequity continues to grow. Climate change, war and conflict are leading to widespread displacement and impoverishment. It is still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity.
This year, we are excited to welcome you to join our Virtual Mandela Day Walk and Run!
Embrace the opportunity to contribute by making a donation and receiving your very own special virtual ID race number. Wear your race number proudly on your shirt as you walk or run from any corner of the globe on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Let's promote social justice and keep Madiba's memory alive and come together in celebrating this global icon!
