Campaign update: We are delighted to have reached our initial target! But please continue to donate and support these three charities in Israel that are focused on ‘trauma relief’ in the wake of October 7th. For every extra £100 we raise, that's one more child, one more family or one more victim of rape and sexual violence we can help. Thank you.

We are raising awareness of, and support for, three charities in Israel who over the past six months have had to repurpose and multiply their efforts.

Their resilience and dedication to delivering the level of service and support required to alleviate trauma at every part of Israeli society is truly inspiring.

Israel Trauma Coalition: Now a key part of Israel's response to trauma, emergencies, and global support, the ITC runs 12 resilience and training centres across the country, offering training in therapy for families, individuals, and communities. They also focus on boosting the resilience of clinical and intervention teams

Israel Life Saving Federation: Shifted its focus from beach-based rescue to offering immediate emotional support for children from families in the South affected by severe distress. Partnering with trauma experts Emotion Aid, ILSF created the Rescue Resilience Programme to provide professional help to children and youth affected by recent events and ongoing conflict. Their goal is to help children rebuild trust in themselves and others through group therapy sessions led by professionals in safe and supportive environments.

The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel: Founded in 1990, ARCCI is Israel's sole organisation dedicated to fighting sexual violence. They operate both locally and nationally, offering support to individual victims and raising awareness in communities. Their efforts gained urgency after October 7, as they seek to amplify the voices of victims and combat sexual violence nationwide. ARCCI's "Silent Cry" report exposed the severity of sexual violence on that day, prompting action from the UN. They persist in their advocacy, working with the Knesset to address rising levels of sexual violence among displaced families and beyond.

The Israel Trauma Relief Campaign is being organised by Hampstead Garden Suburb Synagogue in partnership with UJIA (Registered UK Charity No: 1060078)100% of funds raised will be distributed equally between the three Israeli charities listed above.
